• Alcohol is allowed in The Space.

    For Private Parties: the host can provide alcohol to their guest in a couple of ways.

    • Host can offer guests alcohol at no charge

    • Host can allow BYOB

    • Host can have a cater serve alcohol at no charge.

    • Host can have the cater offer a cash bar. If a cash bar is offered the host must have it served by a TIPS certified bartender.

    For Events Open To The Public: If you are hosting a ticketed event or a free event where the public is invited to attend.

    • Permits must be filed with the Town of Westerly at least 50 days before the event.

    • Additional non-refundable fees apply

    • Alcohol must be served by a TIPS certified bartender

    Alcohol must always be served and consumed responsibly.

  • Yes, make The Space your own! We encourage you to bring your personal touch to your event. However, please note the following guidelines to ensure the safety and integrity of the space:

    • No taping, command striping, or adhering decorations to the walls. There is a gallery chain area for hanging.

    • Do not stand on any of the furniture while decorating. A step stool is available in the kitchen for your convenience. Please use it with caution.

    • No open flames, so please avoid using wicked candles as decor. This excludes birthday candles and catering sternos.

    • No glitter or confetti, as they can be extremely difficult to clean up and may damage The Space.

  • You can use any vendor you would like including, but not limited to, your Aunt Judy. A vendor list is available in the resource tab ablove. These are merely resources, rather than restrictions, to help make the planning process easier. Vendors such as party planners and decorators can be added to the fun and more information can be provided upon request.

  • The Space is currently rented by the hour with a two-hour minimum on weekdays and a four-hour minimum on weekends. Rental time is inclusive of and should account for setup and breakdown time. The hourly rates are available in the Pricing& Add-ons tab above. Full-day and Multi-day options are also available.

    We accommodate starting times as early as 5:30am with each event ending by 11:00pm.

  • The Space is a micro-event space and is intended for more intimate events. Our capacity is 50 people if serving alcohol, 4o if looking to have a full sit down party, and 70 if doing a non-alcohol mingling event or workshop.

  • As we are located in downtown Westerly there are municipal lots located on Canal street and High street and Railroad Ave. As well as street parking.

  • The Space has a sound system that can connect to a phone, tablet, or laptop to play your curated or random playlist from Spotify, Pandora, or Youtube music.

    We do also allow acoustic musicians but keep in mind the space needed for them when planning your guest list.
